Personal Introduction:

I am a birth (mentored) and postnatal (mentored) doula based in Bristol since 2020, after living in London for about 16 years.  I was born in a lovely little town, in central Italy, with a big sense of community so, caring and helping for others has always been at the centre of my life and I have always made it a life goal.

My passion for birth and the 4th trimester started when I was about 8 years old. My mother was working as a Maternity Care worker at our local hospital.  She used to tell me stories about her work and the births.  I knew at that point that I wanted to follow in her footsteps, so I trained as a birth and postnatal doula with Nurturing Birth in 2021.

I have always been fascinated about birth and although my life, in the beginning, didn’t go as planned, it’s been an honour to help families and now I really can’t imagine a different career for myself.

I have been lucky enough to support many families postnatally, over the past 25 years.

As well as running my own business, I also work as a volunteer doula / mother companion with Project Mama and Doula UK Access Fund. I also run a Breastfeeding Support Group in Bristol where I am a volunteer with ABM (Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) to help displaced women in Bristol.

I am regularly keeping up to date and taking part in various workshops and courses for continual professional development and currently training to also become a Hypnobirthing instructor.

Among the things I enjoy most are: cooking, music, horse riding, hiking, travel, visiting museums, galleries, theatres, and creating pieces of art with the Decoupage technique (especially painting on glass and wood).

My aim is to empower birthing people and families and support them during the entire journey.  I would love to offer my services to all birthing people, including the LGBTQ+ community.  I would be happy to help around the house or look after their children when they needed to rest.

Languages spoken: Italian, English, basic Spanish and Makaton.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss the services I provide in more details.  I cover the Bristol area, but I can support you remotely wherever you are.
