Personal Introduction:

Hola!

I’m Pineda, a birth and postnatal doula. I live in Cardiff with my husband and two children. Originally from Spain, we moved to the UK in 2020 from the USA where we lived for 5 years. The experience of being a mother abroad led me to find my calling as a doula.

Childbirth is one of life’s most intense experiences and having someone to support you and your partner can make all the difference. From preparing for the birth to adjusting to life as a new family, I am there to provide comfort, encouragement, knowledge and support. My aim is to help you have the birth you want, so that it is a positive experience. And to support you after the birth so that you can focus on your baby and your recovery.

My aim is to help you feel confident in yourself and your abilities, to listen and to support you and your partner. I can’t make decisions for you, but I will help you find resources and information and support you in your choices.

I have been a nomad of sorts for the last 10 years of my life. It has been an incredible experience with a lot of personal growth. I have been privileged to meet and befriend people from so many different backgrounds and to see that we all have the same needs: we all want to be understood, seen and supported when we need it.

I have a Master Degree in Psychology at the University of Barcelona. I worked for 10 years with people with learning disabilities and developing programs of inclusion with the City of Barcelona.

Please visit my website and contact me for more information and/or to arrange a chat to see we would be a good fit.

Pineda was a calming and supportive postnatal doula. She spent some time with me in my home when I was struggling with postpartum and was a breath of fresh air! She gave me support, kindness and practical help as well - ensuring I was totally cared for. Anna.

I met Pineda through Pregnancy Circles which was informative and such a nourishing space where I made solid friendships. Pineda came to my home for the closing the bones ceremony which was exactly what I needed to reflect on my birth journey and move into the next phase of motherhood. Pineda is a warm, caring and attentive person and I recommend her services highly. Jenny.

Postpartum planning with Pineda was relaxed and really informative. I am a verbal processor, and the session helped me work out what was important to me in the first few weeks after baby. She listened to me, kindly offered ideas and encouraged me to act on them. I had the time and space to think about different options of support and have a flexible plan, which I see the full value of now I'm 6 weeks postpartum. The last few weeks have been tiring with a newborn but so much easier than they could have been thanks to Pineda. Ruth.
