Grace was our doula for the birth or our second son. I had had a c-section with my first child after having a relatively straight forward labour. I felt I needed extra support to achieve a VBAC so I looked for a local doula. Having Grace with us made a world of difference to how I laboured. She was someone we could both trust and depend on and I could not have done it without the back message she gave me. She was also great with my first born and after the birth she brought us a home cooked meal and made sure that we were all looked after. Having a doula was the best decision we made.
E & S
Having Grace as a birth and postnatal doula has been the best choice we could make. Grace is sweet, understanding, never judgemental and was a real support for both me and my husband. During my long labour, having her there meant my husband could go home for a few hours and get some rest, knowing I was fully taken care of and not alone. And postnatally, especially after my husband went back to work, having Grace coming over for a few hours during the day, helped me not feeling alone or helpless, trusting there was someone caring and that I could trust with my baby while resting or taking a shower. Definitely I would ask Grace to be our doula again should we have a second child!
