Hi Iam Ayshah Maton a birth and post natal doula in Buckinghamshire, close to the Oxfordshire border. I also am a private nanny and have been looking after children for over 20yrs. I have an added service if needed of building relationships with older children to help them be part of the birth process and help with the transition to welcoming a new family member. So in essence can be a doula for your child/children too. I have 4 children of my own who have taught me so much and started my love of birth and all surrounding it, and fuelled my passion for helping every woman have an empowered birth experience. How you birth is always your choice and how we make those choices is down to the knowledge we have which is why it’s so important to put great value on your birth education and the support you have around you during one of the most important transitions of your life. I believe woman are capable of so much more than they are ever aware of. Doula means servant and I feel a doula steps up to be whatever a family needs them to be, a quiet support for mum, dad, child, a listening ear , a tight hug giver, a hand holder, a person to help find the information you need to make the right decision for you, a calming presence, a space holder, a tea maker, a voice of reason or simply an experienced woman and mother who has birthed and mothered and is there to be there for you.

Whether it is your first birth or 10th, the journey to meet your baby is sacred as is the time getting to know them. My dream is that each woman and baby have the most beautiful meeting and first weeks that stays with them for both of their lives.
