I am a birth and postnatal Doula based in Bristol. I’ve been a doula in Bristol since 2020 after living in London for 16 years.
I’m Italian. I was born in a lovely little town in central Italy, with a big sense of community so, caring and helping for others has always been at the centre of my life and I have always made it a life goal.
My passion for birth and the 4th trimester started when I was about 8 years old. My mother was working as a Maternity Care worker at our local hospital. She used to tell me stories about her work and the births. I knew at that point that I wanted to follow in her footsteps and become a doula.
I have always been fascinated about birth and, although my life in the beginning didn’t go as planned, it’s been an honour to help families and now I really can’t imagine a different career for myself.
I have about 25 years’ experience working with very young children, especially newborns and small babies. From babysitting to Nannying in 3 different countries, (alongside working in the corporate environment as an Administrator in London) and Maternity Nursing since 2018.
I am also a carer for a little boy with complex needs and his two-year-old twin brother and sister, who I have been caring for since they were born. During these last 2 years and after finding Nurturing Birth (with whom I trained as a doula last year) I finally decided to pursue my dream of becoming a doula.
My next plans are to become a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and, also a Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner.
Among the things I enjoy most are: cooking, visiting museums, galleries, theatres, music, horse riding, travel and creating pieces of art with Decoupage technique (especially painting on glass and wood).
My aim is to empower birthing people and families and support them during the entire journey. I would love to offer my services to all birthing people, including the LGBTQ+ community. I would be happy to help around the house or look after their children when they needed to rest.
Languages spoken: Italian, English and Makaton.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss the doula services I provide in more details. I doula across the Bristol area, but I can support you remotely wherever you are.
