Hi! My name is Silvia and I live with my husband and my two sweet girls near Banstead, in the beautiful Surrey.
I studied Physiotherapy at the university in Portugal and specialised in Woman Health, also trained as a Doula and UNICEF/WHO breastfeeding counsellor, after that, I spend the next 10 years supporting pregnant couples and post-natal families. During all my professional life I’ve been passionate about everything related to pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding.
When I moved to the UK, after a couple of years taking care of my youngest daughter, I knew I needed to continue this path. So I did a new doula course and trained as a breastfeeding peer supporter to refresh my knowledge and feel totally confident to support women and their families in the UK achieving the experience of pregnancy, birth and post-natal that they desire and need.
I strongly believe that the way you give birth matters.
It will always be a part of who you are.
It will change your life, your body, your mind and soul. It can even change the world!
I’m here for you, to be the hand you always can hold during your journey, supporting you in your choices, no matter what they are.

I met Sílvia out of pure serendipity and loved her right away. She supported me throughout my pregnancy (it was my second pregnancy), making me feel reassured and helping me make informed decisions along the way, supporting me irrespectively of which choices I made. I was very anxious and afraid of how the birth might go and she helped me find strategies to deal with the anxiety. She also organised a lovely Mother Blessing with some of my friends and brought the womanly energy and power to my home, which remained until I had my lovely home birth. As an amazing bonus, she has a magical touch! She gave me a massage and I swear as soon as she touched me I felt instantly relaxed! She also supported me through post-partum and kept checking up on me, reminding me to rest and to take care of myself as well, which is so important. Couldn't recommend her highly enough!

You definitely need a doula in your life to help and support you in your hardest job ever! Silvia is just the right person with the warmest personality and all the knowledge. Having Silvia as my Doula was very important to me.

Her presence helped me feel stronger, capable and secure during all my journey through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood. When I was in labour she stayed with me all the time, she gave me confidence in myself and helped me with every contraction with movements, massages and positions until my baby came to this world.
