I am originally from Sweden, but have lived in Worcestershire since 2003, and in Worcester since 2005.
Although my background is mainly academic (intercultural management), my passion has always been people. After having my children I started to research breastfeeding and to find an outlet for my newly gained knowledge I started to volunteer with the NHS as a peer supporter. As the years went by and I got to listen to the birth stories of the breastfeeding women I thought there was more I could do. I knew many women did not feel supported nor listened to by the healthcare professionals, so I trained as a Doula instead.
My approach is to make sure I’m up to date with as much current research as I can be and retelling it in such a way as to make it accessible to the mothers I support. I believe the more opportunity you get to ask questions, challenge statements and feel heard, the more in control you are going to feel and that leads to a better birth.
I offer a few different birth packages, have a look at my website for more information.
I am currently a Doula UK mentored Doula, and this is reflected in the fee I charge.
