Testimonials
  • I am delighted to now be called a doula after training through Nurturing Birth! I am a qualified chiropractor and craniosacral therapist and my passion is working with pregnant mums, newborns and children. I pride myself on offering a highly integrated approach to healthcare and so with the addition of ‘doula knowledge’ I feel honoured to able to encourage, empower and support women during this magical time.

  • I graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, in 2008 with a First Class Honours Degree in Chiropractic. Following this, I returned to Scotland, have worked in Glasgow and Ayr and now run two established practices in Prestwick and Kilmarnock.

Since graduating, I have continued to expand my therapeutic skills. I am a diplomate level CranioSacral Therapist (CST-D), Visceral Manipulation Practitioner (CVMP) and I have also passed board exams in Applied Kinesiology and am Webster Technique certified. This is a low impact technique used regularly during pregnancy.

In 2011 I became a certified APPI Pilates instructor and am qualified to teach Hypopressives. I also lecture ‘Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy’ courses annually and run regular study groups in Glasgow.

  • Testimonials:

"When I fell pregnant with my first child two years ago, I knew I would be in safe hands. Francesca worked with CranioSacral treatments during my pregnancy and every session was so gentle, calming and relaxing. Having experienced back problems in the past, I was worried that they would resurface during pregnancy, however, I personally feel that regular sessions with Francesca not only helped to keep my back strong but also helped to prepare my body for labour". "During my first pregnancy I started to suffer from lower back/ pelvic girdle pain and I thought I might have to start maternity leave early because of this. I had never thought to see a chiropractor, but a number of relatives and friends recommended seeing Francesca. After only one appointment, I noticed a huge improvement and my baby seemed happier with more space too! She was able to use the most gentle manipulations and work around my growing bump. I worked right up to 38 weeks with no problem. During my second pregnancy I was keen to avoid any issues so saw Francesca regularly from the beginning and the difference I noticed was huge. I had no musculoskeletal pain at all (despite a toddler and large bump) and also had a very straightforward delivery which I partially attribute to having my body in the best shape possible for labour and birth. I have never left an appointment without improvement in my symptoms and couldn’t recommend Francesca more highly". MCM - Kilmarnock
