Hello my name is Amy and I am a qualified doula based in Cwmbran, South Wales. I achieved my qualifications through training with Nurturing birth; A Doula UK recognised company.

So let’s get right into it and tell you a little bit about me. I have been with my husband for 20 years and married to him for 16 of those years. We have five beautiful children together; Two girls and three boys ages 17,15, 12,10 and 5. I gave birth to my first baby aged 19 and my last at 31. In recent times I have been a birth partner and support system for family and friends. I have seen multiple situations within the healthcare industry highlighting how things have changed or lacked over the years, In regards to what is or isn’t offered to support pregnant women and their families prior to and following their babies being born. I have always been fascinated with pregnancy, birth and motherhood. I firmly believe that every woman and her family deserve to be fully supported throughout the pregnancy, birth and during the postnatal stage. This allows you to have the help needed to rest and heal and as a result give you the best start for your parenthood journey. I am so passionate about what I do and pride myself on being a constant with all the emotional and physical support that you will need. I trust in every women’s ability to birth there baby and will stand with you and your family at all times providing evidence based information to aid any decisions you may need to make. I am armed with the tools to achieve the birth you desire and every effort will be made to ensure that your birth plans and wishes are respected.
