Gigi Bacon

I am a birth and postnatal doula based in West London. With over 6 years experience in counselling and psychotherapy, my passion lies in connecting with families on a deeper level and understanding their unique stories. I believe in the importance of supporting and protecting the caregiver-child dynamic and the long term benefits of doing so. I currently work as a doula at Happy Baby, a community of support for woman who have sought safety in the UK and are pregnant or have young children.

My role as your doula is to guide, nourish and empower you. To quote Dr Gabor Mate, a renowned child development expert – “part of the art of parenting is just being in touch with your instincts.” I hope to encourage you to trust in yourself and help you work through your own processes, whatever they might be. Pregnancy and birth is a transformative journey, but it can also be overwhelming, intimidating and lonely. I want to create a sense of community and bring back the village spirit that’s been lost in western society.
