Personal Introduction:

Hi there! I’m Natalie. I’m a birth and postpartum doula (and soon to be Infant Feeding Coach). I live in Leamington Spa with my husband and our 9-year old twin boys and 5-year old daughter. I live in Leamington Spa now but have lived in numerous places before including Manchester, London and Dubai. I have always been drawn to mothers and babies and since becoming a mother myself nearly 10 years ago, my passion to support women to find their own path, connect with their intuition, and approach birth and postpartum more holistically has gotten stronger.

I believe that women and birthing people deserve the highest level of care and support as move through the monumental transition to motherhood. I believe that women hold the power to birth their babies however they feel is right for them, and that for a long time, that power has been taken out of the hands of women, and birth has become a medical event to be controlled. I want to support women to feel empowered as the experts in their own bodies, to connect with their intuition and be supported however their birth and postpartum unfolds.

As part of my role as a birth and postpartum doula, I will provide you with that continuity of care, right from when you book me. I will listen to you, validate your experiences and feelings, and hold space for you to feel into them. As your doula I will signpost evidence-based research and share my experiences with you in the hope that they allow you to find what feels right for you and your family.

Birth can be empowering, and healing, and transformational. However you birth, trusting your body and knowing up to date relevant evidence-based research, you can feel informed and confident in your decision, whatever that looks like. My role as your doula is to support you and your decisions.

Through antenatal education, getting to know you and your family, signposting and supporting your partner to really understand what a ‘good’ birth partner is, we build that connection that comes into the birth space and beyond. I will be there to champion you, soothe you, or just simply to hold space and be a supporting energy.

As a postpartum doula I offer very practical support alongside the emotional support. I make a great cup of tea (I probably drink too many!), will often bring snacks, and can provide light household care including prepping a meal with the ingredients you have. I’ll signpost information to help you find the right path for your family. I will happily look after your new baby whilst you rest or recharge, or I can simply sit with you and provide company, reassurance and a judgement-free listening ear.

I’m big on prep work so whichever doula support you’re looking for, we will work together antenatally to provide you with that knowledge for birth preferences, postpartum recovery, and normal newborn behaviours and how to support breastfeeding from the get go.

I have an array of parenting, birth, and postpartum books, baby related items (reusable nappies, slings, breast pumps) all available for loan or a try out before purchasing yourself. I have contacts in various fields locally that may be useful to you, so can provide personal recommendations if specialist support is needed.

I continue to develop my skills as a doula and am very interested in postpartum practices in more traditional cultures, particularly ayurveda, and will incorporate many learnings in my offerings. To continue to expand my knowledge and experience, I attend regular courses and events that enable me to offer more to you and your family.

I have a range of set packages you could choose from, but I am equally happy to create a bespoke package for you based on your needs. My website has all the details including my fees.

"the emotional support Natalie provided was exceptional. In the fog of the fourth trimester, I have been prone to rambling and not making much sense, but Natalie listened without judgement, offered advice when needed, and validation in abundance. Natalie was great at noticing all of the things I was doing well and reminding me constantly of my progress. The constant encouragement really gave me a boost." - MH

"Natalie came in with a calm and confident manner which helped when I was feeling stressed" - LA

"Natalie is the perfect blend of kind, thoughtful, and pragmatic - just what is needed in a doula. She has a wealth of knowledge and it is clear that she is committed to continually building on that knowledge." - MH

"Natalie really had my mental health and emotional recovery at the heart of what she was offering, she prompted me with questions about how I was doing, rather than just how my baby was doing, and followed up on issues we'd discussed whenever I saw her. I felt she was in tune with how I wanted to parent and always wanted to go the extra mile to help out where she could." - LS

"Natalie has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share from her training and also her real life experience of having premature twins with allergies and all the extra challenges that can bring. She is a really lovely positive person to be around. She is passionate about breast-feeding and helping mums to look after themselves properly especially in that crazy post-natal period when it is very easy to feel overwhelmed." - KS

"Natalie was very warm and friendly and always went the extra mile to make me feel looked after, she also checked in with how my husband and toddler were doing. She was very flexible and willing to help out with anything and everything that was needed." - LS

"Natalie is extremely well-read and experienced around everything baby related. She was able to help me with breastfeeding (and signpost when needed), dirty nappies, milk, food, skin problems. Often I just needed to talk my concerns over with someone. She also often reminded me about typical baby behaviour and also that the way I was feeling was normal when I was very emotional about things – especially breastfeeding." - LA
