Nurturing New Beginnings

Hi friend, I’m Nici, Mum of 1 and wifey.

I’m a pregnancy, birth and postnatal doula covering areas in Powys and Shropshire.

I first heard about ‘doulas’ when I was pregnant and so of course after meeting with several, I hired one and to be honest I would have been lost without her.
A birth that didn’t go to plan became not a frightening experience but, an empowering and AMAZING experience. I knew then that I was a Doula and had been for a long time without realising it.

Having a positive birth isn’t luck as many of us are led to believe, there’s so much more to it than that. As your doula I’ll listen to your story, hear the hopes and fears of you and your family and walk beside you as you find your way.

I’m good at listening and holding space. I will be there to help you navigate your way and find any info you may need to help you make decisions. I will also be there to support your partner too – this is a family event and we need to make sure that partners know that they are important too. We all have a role to play.
Essentially I will be wrapping you all up in a huge doula hug.

There will probably be lot’s of tea and cake involved too of course.
There will be times when you need me that are not scheduled meets and that’s ok. I’m only on the end of the phoen and, we will have a WhatsApp chat.
Also I will provide access to my Padlet (which is a digital notice board) which will contain the many resources I’ve collated. Here you will find research papers, useful links, stories, images etc.

I am also qualified Mindful Breastfeeding School Supporter and will often include this as part of my full package should you be interested in this.

In my spare time you will often find me walking with my daughter and husband, baking and meeting with friends.
I have been married to my husband for 13 years.
I also run Pregnancy and Mother circles which I just LOVE!
