Personal Introduction:

I am a birth and postnatal doula based in Oxfordshire.
I cover Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

I first trained with Nurturing Birth in 2010 and have more recently completed a distance doula course refreshing my training and knowledge.

As a Doula, I provide emotional, educational and physical support during pregnancy, labor, birth and postnatally.

From relaxation techniques to building strength and stamina for labor and birth, to breastfeeding guidance. I’m here for you!

I am completely invested in your comfort, safety and empowerment.

Along with being a Doula I am also a fully qualified yoga teacher and have regular Hatha, Hatha Flow, Restorative, Pregnancy and Postnatal classes in Bicester.

I have two children of my own aged 14 and 7, I enjoy walking, visiting new places, travelling, reading and I love a good takeaway.

"Having Zara as our Doula was transformative. She came once a week for the first eight weeks after our daughter was born. These were such intense, special and in many ways nerve wracking weeks, and somehow we felt so absolutely at ease having Zara come into our house and our lives.
We felt an instant connection with her and our daughter was so happy and relaxed in her company.
It meant we could catch up on sleep, or housework or even dip our toes into work. The space she provided us made these weeks so much easier to manage, and we feel so lucky to have found her. She not only provided vital practical support, but was always a huge source of emotional support, always willing to listen, to help us navigate our ways through the maze of feelings.

Thanks to her it feels as if we are entering the next phase of parenthood free of so many of the doubts and worries that we might otherwise have carried.

She has the kind of deep empathy and care that few people possess, she sees, listens and guides. She is a special human, and we feel so grateful to have had her support in our lives."

"Zara was an absolutely fabulous doula. She was punctual and reliable – and most of all she couldn't have been more caring for our baby. She has a super friendly and relaxed manner, and her ability to work with very young children is out of this world. Our baby was instantly relaxed in her hands and even at times when she was a bit distressed and crying, Zara was patient in calming her and soothing her. She was really really outstanding.
We miss her calming presence!

The main thing we needed help with was just somebody we trusted taking our baby off our hands for a while. Thanks to Zara's help we were able to have a nap for the first time since the baby came. We were able to have breakfast together for the first time. Zara also very kindly offered to do lots of extra tasks around the house like ironing we didn't need these in the end it was amazing to know that she could help. In fact, we were able to get so much done around the house and with work even in just a few short hours it made an enormous difference to our lives."
